Auntie M's is a family owned and operated business that opened July 1st, 2011. We moved from Spokane, WA with the hope of creating a cozy and tasty coffee shop for locals and tourists alike. Seaside has always been a large part of our lives and many family vacations and get aways have taken place here over the past ten years. Michaela and her husband, Ron, always dreamed of opening a shop on the coast after retirement but this opportunity was just too good to pass up! Our great location has been vacant for the past few years and we happened to look at the building when it first went on the market, dreaming and scheming about how perfect it would be as a coffee shop and home. We returned to Spokane and the daily grind and let thoughts of our perfect little coffee shop drift away. Five months before opening Auntie M's, Michaela, Brittany, Gabby and I were visiting the coast when I jokingly suggested that we go "see what they put in her coffee shop." We were all surprised to see such a perfect building still sitting empty, exactly as it had been when we left it the first time. One thing led to another and three months later, the cleaning, painting and decorating began! Two more months and our doors opened for business. We are having a great time so far and looking forward to a long stay here in Seaside.
